Description
The Model Eldorado 78 System is a medium capacity (8,000 Curies) BEAM Irradiator with an adjustable collimator. The collimator meets ISO 4037 requirements for use at SSDL facilities.
The Model FT 60 Instrument Calibration Table is integrated with the Eldorado 78 unit to provide discrete distances from source centerline. The FT 60 system is available with up to three axis of movement and a 100 cm x 200 cm calibration table.

Safety Measures
- External Radiation Levels: The Eldorado 78 has external radiation levels, which average < 250 microSv/hr at the surface and < 50 microSv/hr at 30 cm from the surface of the device (OFF position)
- ROOM Interlocks: The Eldorado 78 system has SIX levels of interlocks to prevent accidental personnel exposures. Our PRE ALARM circuit requires a final inspection of the exposure chamber prior to an irradiation cycle. A 500 kg electro-magnet LOCKS the door closed prior to any exposure
