Description

The Model GammaCell 220 System is a large capacity  (24,000 Curies) Self-Contained  Irradiator originally manufactured by AECL or its decendents.

FOSS Therapy Services has  re-engineered the GammaCell 220 system and has been awarded a SSDR  (Sealed Source & Device Registration) for our Model GammaCell 220F.     The GammaCell 220F system is a fully remanufactured irradiator with new electronics, mechanical components, bearings, and NEW Cobalt 60 sources.

Safety Measures

  • External Radiation Levels: The GammaCell 220F system has all the same external radiation levels as the standard unit.  No changes are made to any shielding or this new device
  • Interlocks: The GammaCell 220F system retains all of the original safety interlock as the standard GammaCell 220 unit

  • Foss Therapy has engineered a “portable hot cell” system to perform on-site source replacement and decommissioning.  We have reloaded GammaCell 200 systems with > 20,000 Curies.  A source reloading project can be completed within one week.
